Individual Therapy

Individualized Counseling

If you’re looking for someone who has a casual, attuned, compassionate, and professional approach, we may be a good fit! I work well with people who are solution-oriented, open-minded, and ready for change.

In the therapy world, there is a term called “Psycho-education” that means receiving helpful information about the way your mind works, which you then think about and often incorporate into your worldview. I love helping clients learn new concepts! If you’ve ever felt like there was a formula for life that you weren’t handed, it can be so refreshing to have a guide to share relevant ideas, stories, studies, and tools. The mind is my passion, and I am constantly looking for the latest information to share with clients. We might use relevant concepts from psychology, psychotherapy, biology, mindfulness, organizational psychology, self-esteem work, communication skills, anxiety and depression concepts, assertiveness training, boundaries work, sex therapy, grief therapy, highly-sensitive-person work, hypnotherapy, trauma-informed therapy… and so much more! You’ll often go home with helpful information sheets and worksheets, to aid in incorporating the information more deeply.

In individual therapy, you can expect to be listened to and heard, and to have a true ally. I believe in the value and potential in every client. I strive to help you find your own solutions, and I don’t give advice. I might make suggestions for tools, and challenge you to think about something more expansively. I will always recognize you as the person in charge of your own life and decisions. I will always be on your side.
