What to expect in your first individual therapy session:
You can expect to be genuinely heard, understood, and supported. We’ll get to know you, listen to what brought you to therapy, and work together to understand what you need. We may offer tools, new perspectives, or gentle challenges along the way, and you remain in charge of your own life and decisions. Our goal is to be a trusted ally as you find your way forward.
Learn, Understand, Apply
Therapy isn’t just about talking. We believe it can also be helpful to understand why you think, feel, and respond the way you do.
We may introduce concepts, research, stories, or practical tools that help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and try something new. Depending on your needs, this might include topics like anxiety, relationships, boundaries, self-esteem, trauma, mindfulness, communication, or grief. Our Therapists utilize concepts from psychology, psychotherapy, biology, mindfulness, sex therapy, Financial Social Work, hypnotherapy, and more. You may also leave with resources or exercises to explore between sessions. We believe meaningful change often happens outside the therapy room, too.
