Financial Social Work

Why don’t we talk about sex or money?

These important topics are major sources of stress and divorce, but we are so bad at talking about them! Let’s get through the shame to the other side, where good understanding, plans, and confidence await!

How does it work?

Financial Social Work can help with:

  • Financial issues in relationships

  • Debt management strategies

  • Budgeting

  • Overall financial health

  • Expense Reduction

  • Personal Spending

  • Saving

  • Asset Building and Savings Plan

  • Investing

  • Debt reduction

  • Planning an Emergency Fund

  • and much more…

I strive to create a safe, non-judgemental space to talk about money. I work to recognize the financial component of each clients’ story or presenting problem, and to understand how financial stress impacts clients’ physical, mental, emotional, and social health to move beyond the dollars, cents, budgets, and debt of money problems.

Together, we will work to address the presenting thoughts, feelings, attitudes, experiences, values, and beliefs about money. We emphasize your relationship with money and self as critical components of financial behavioral health. We’ll go beyond crisis intervention to authentically change your long-term financial health.

Please note: This is therapy ONLY. I do not provide any products or services beyond helping you with ideas, understanding, and education. You will need to seek out a financial professional for other types of professional services.
